JOB TITLE:    3rd Shift - MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST DEPARTMENT:   MAINTENANCE REPORTS TO:   ADVISOR, MAINTENANCE NON-EXEMPT: X  

Skills & Abilities Required:

• Ability to inform and instruct others regarding problems and preventive countermeasures
• Record-keeping skills necessary to inform and update work status
• Math skills necessary to calculate angles, dimensions, and sizes
• Ability to interpret and understand technical information and drawings
• Effective trouble-shooting skills
• Capable of using tools required on the job
• Maintenance knowledge sufficient to determine proper methods for repair
• Effective decision-making skills regarding machine repair and professional behavior
• Ability to work well independently
• Effective verbal and written communication skills necessary for both internal and external contact
• Perform other duties as assigned in order to ensure achievement of section, department, or company plan
• PLC troubleshooting experience

Minimum Level of Preparation & Training Required:
A 2 year degree in a maintenance related discipline or equivalent work experience

Duties:

• Carry out daily instructions and assignments given by Team Leader or superior
• Maintain equipment through preventative maintenance activity
• Improve equipment by carrying out corrective maintenance activity
• Trouble-shoot and repair equipment using professional skills and abilities
• Work safely - following all safety instructions and standards
• Communicate all daily activity
• Submit all paperwork at end of shift
