Full Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of objectives, policies, and procedures for human resources
- Ensure the compliance with the federal and state employment laws and regulations
- Work to ensure the high morale and retention of Team Members
- Evaluate resumes, coordinate and conduct interviews
- Participate in recruiting activities, including but not limited to, job fairs, vendor exhibits, and high school career fairs
- Coordinate and present HR sections of new employee orientation
- Assist Team Members with general questions about payroll and benefits
- Listen to and find resolutions for TM issues and concerns
- Perform internal investigations related to policy and conduct violations
- Coordinate corrective action and disciplinary procedures
- Completion and coordination of employee transfers and promotions, including posting jobs and interviewing where required
- Provide policy guidance upon Team Member/Supervisor request
- Maintain and respond to HR inquiries and internal postings on the TM Portal (myaisin.com)
- Generate reports on hours worked, absenteeism, headcount, turnover and TM investigations
- Preparation of accruals (BG checks, physicals, etc) for Finance department
- Prepare and code invoices for HR related services and provide to HR AM for payment request
- Maintain and control the excel manpower files, ensuring accuracy and verification of budget
- Support the administration of the Service and Recognition Award Programs
- Coordinate the completion of annual reviews for both hourly and salary employees, ensuring accuracy of the job description
- Work with temporary staffing agencies to recruit for and start temporary employment assignments
- Plan and participate in company events and activities
- Assist with Aisin company apparel sales
- Assist with the interactive process of the ADA
- Manage the AMI Mentor group, being accessible as a point of contact and running monthly meetings
- Greet Team Members as they enter the HR office answering general questions
- Complete daily floor walks ensuring all TM issues are addressed
- Assist Team Members with enrolling and/or resetting work related apps and accounts such as myaisin.com, ADP, CareHere and the 3-2 Marketplace
- Maintain 5S of the office and other HR zones
- Assist Team Member with FMLA or other LOA questions and concerns
- Manage the daily floor walk schedule and report out metrics monthly to HR MGT
- Manage the office 5S list and provide completed list to HR AM weekly
- Manage exit survey entries and reporting on surveymonkey
- Respond to IDES UI notifications and perform phone hearings as required
- Act as liaison between TM and CareHere when needed
- Assist Advisors with policy compliance questions and issues
- Manage annual updates of job descriptions to ensure accuracy
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for both internal and external contact
- Capable of educating and training Members in Company policies, procedures, and practices
- Ability to write concise memos, policies, correspondence, and reports
- Ability to adapt to changing situations, to solve problems, and prioritize work loads
- Advanced computer skills
- Comprehension skills necessary to interpret HR laws, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to interact professionally with coworkers
- Ability to understand, follow and implement posted work rules and company procedures
- Broad understanding of all aspects of Human Resources
- Understanding of HIPPA and other employment related federal and state policies
- Basic understanding of OSHA rules and regulations
Qualifications, Education, and Experience Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience
