Skills & Abilities Required:
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for both internal and external contact
- Capable of educating and training Members in Company policies, procedures, and practices
- Ability to write concise memos, policies, correspondence, and training manuals
- Ability to understand production reports, spreadsheets, and budgets
- Comprehension skills necessary to interpret HR laws, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Ability to adapt to changing situations, to solve problems, and prioritize work loads
- Broad understanding of all aspects of Human Resources
- Basic computer skills
Minimum Level of Preparation & Training Required:
A High School diploma or equivalent is required
A Bachelor’s degree or related work experience is required
Duties:
- Assist in the development and implementation of objectives, policies, and procedures for HR Dept
- Evaluate resumes and coordinate / conduct interviews
- Find resolutions for TM concerns and issues
- Implement employee inter-departmental transfers, leaves of absence, promotions, etc.
- Support the administration of the Service and Recognition Award Programs
- Maintain regulatory compliance and administer benefit and compensation programs and employee performance evaluations
- Work to ensure the high morale and retention of Team Members
- Provide career counseling upon Team Member / Supervisor request
- Plan and participate in Company activities
- Generate reports on issues such as hours worked, absenteeism, employment numbers, etc.
- Maintain and control temporary labor force
- Ensure compliance with all employment laws
- Coordinate new employee orientation
- Develop and administer training programs
- Answer payroll inquiries
- Maintain HRIS
- Coordinate corrective action/disciplinary procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned in order to ensure achievement of section, department, or company plan
