Minimum Level of Preparation & Training Required:
High School diploma or equivalent is required

Bachelor’s or Associate degree in a technical / business related field or a minimum of 5 years in automotive planning or related area

Duties:

  • Coordinate activities with Sales, Design, Cost, Purchasing, QE and ME to meet Customer’s RFQ due date. Track necessary action items in PFUS to ensure on-time completion
  • Obtain estimated tooling lead-times from Purchasing, ME and QE, and provide estimated lead-time during RFQ stage to Customer through Sales
  • Perform as main customer interface for production preparation from Pre-E0 to E2 stage
  • Work with Purchasing to ensure activities with the suppliers are taking place. Utilize MQ1 Supplier Portal to track supplier activities
  • Lead and conduct Working Group Meetings from Pre-E0 to E2 stage with PFUS and Project Schedule
  • Ensure on-time (at E0) Decision Of Process (DOP) completion
  • Coordinate with Purchasing to complete Decision Of Suppliers (DOS) at ESE
  • Obtain estimated tooling lead-times from Purchasing, ME and QE, and complete drawing coordination meeting with Design and Customer at ESE
  • Coordinate and complete all Design Reviews / Simultaneous Engineering on-time for E0, ESE, E1 and E2 drawing releases
  • Monitor E1 and E2 drawings release per Drawing Coordination Sheet and communicate changes, and ensure cross-functional kicks-off components suppliers and in-house tool suppliers on-time to meet off-tool trial
  • Coordinate and ensure PV-32 is conducted on-time
  • Develop Master Schedule (including SPMP, KPIT, Trial Parts Matrix, Launch Master Status Sheet and others) for new projects
  • Communicate customer requirements to appropriate team members and suppliers
  • Track project status and ensure compliance to tasks and schedules
  • Completion of customer required forms (i.e. capacity surveys, trial parts availability confirmation and ECI implementation)
  • Track and ensure completion of project planning tools (i.e. Tool Progress Reports) for external and internal processes
  • Order components for production preparation and/or engineering trials, monitor the inventory using FIFO and 5S at trial parts area
  • Develop schedule and lead all production trials including QVPT, LVPT, and HVPT
  • Schedule and ship trial parts to customer
  • Track and ensure new product packaging (trials and mass production) needs and status
  • Track and Report PPAP/ISIR status for supplied components and customer
  • Monitor and maintain Engineering Change Instruction (ECI) process
  • Develop Engineering Change Schedule and ensure compliance from start to closure of engineering change
  • Build and maintain Bill of Material (DOP / Component Status Sheet) for new part/project
  • Provide any/all information needed to ensure smooth transition from production preparation to mass production
  • Receive prototype orders through EPNS (Toyota) and PPPS (GM), notify the team (pre-production and mass production) and coordinate the shipment with required documents
  • Ensure all PV Gates are conducted on-time
  • Prepare Monthly Launch Status Documents for Management’s Overview
